I bought the Phillips digital recording unit because I receive my television through a roof antenna, and my VCR won't work after February 2009.
It took me awhile to get it to talk to my Mitsubishi TV (Mitsubishi has some strange settings, but a great HD picture). After that, it was pretty easy

It is great! I haven't had any problems with it. My only complaint is that it might be nice if it came with a lanyard or string to attach it to.
